The Luxury Orthopedic Mattress uses a Bonnel Spring System — an interconnected coil network where all springs work together as a unit. This distributes your body weight evenly across the entire sleep surface, providing firm and consistent support. Unlike foam-only alternatives, the Bonnel system also promotes airflow, keeping the mattress cooler through the night.

The mattress is 12 inches (30 cm) thick. Plush-firm means it has a firm spring core for orthopaedic support, with a cushioned top comfort layer so it does not feel hard or rigid. Think of it as therapeutically supportive where it counts, with gentle surface softness for comfort — the sweet spot for most adults who need back support without sacrificing comfort.

Bonnel springs are interconnected — all coils move together for even, firm full-surface support. Ideal for back pain, adults 40+, and consistent orthopaedic needs. More durable and cost-effective long-term.

Pocket springs are individually wrapped so each coil responds independently. Better for motion isolation (light sleepers, couples with different body weights). More premium price point.

For firm spinal support and back pain relief, the Bonnel system in this mattress is the recommended choice.

Yes. The 12-inch Bonnel Spring construction promotes healthy spinal alignment by keeping the spine in a neutral position overnight. The firm coil base prevents the lower back from sinking — a leading cause of morning stiffness and chronic lumbar pain. It is especially recommended for adults over 40 and those advised by physiotherapists to sleep on a firm orthopedic surface. Many customers report a noticeable improvement within the first week.

For most adults with lower back pain, physiotherapists and orthopaedic specialists recommend a firm to medium-firm mattress. A firm surface keeps the hips from sinking below the shoulders, preserving the spine's natural S-curve. A soft mattress allows the heavier midsection to sag, which compresses lumbar discs overnight.

This mattress offers the ideal balance — firm at the core, cushioned at the surface — providing therapeutic support without the discomfort of a hard surface.
